Is this an ok area? What would a 3-bedroom rent for? Person trying to sell it says it will gentrify in the next year or two...you think so?

If that area's "going to gentrify in the next year or two," I'll eat my hat.

It's going to be longer than that before the Wave rolls through there, assuming it keeps its current momentum.

Is the person trying to sell this as an investment property?

I'm 49, and considering family history, I could make 73 - that area isn't going to gentrify in my lifetime.

This is Fairhill-the poorest neighborhood in the entire city. Mostly Puerto Rican. 3 br rent is about $650-900
