If this jinxes the Eagles, I'm going to write Comcast a letter!

I've been following the project even since it started. I have been very excited to see it rise and rise. I was at the SkyGarten at the Mellon Bldg i think the brown one near the PKWY on the 53rd floor and it was so beautiful to be that close to it and see the progress that was made.

I go to CCP main campus and when i walk down 18th st toward the building that height is amazing, i walked by today and was just amazed ...the workers was standing on top of the spire.

Well, if they end up buying 21st Century Fox it's possible we will see it.

I would love for Comcast 3 (or whatever the next huge tower is) to have a sloped roof line, kind of like the Bank of America Tower or 10 Hudson Yards in New York.
I wouldn't fixate on anything about Comcast 3 yet.

The 1900 Arch "mess" at least got rid of the surface parking lot and they do have pretty cool outside seating when it's warmer but, yes agreed, the rest is awful.

I can see it from my living room. No way does it look topped off (??)

Haven't been to Philly in six years (spent adolescence in Cherry Hill), so didn't even know about this building. Sounds exciting.

One important aspect is will there be an ugly red blinking light on the spire and/or on the top of the building?

That would look ugly at night. For example, in Boston, almost every taller building now has a red light or blinking red light(s) on the top and/or an antenna(s)! Very ugly. And one building now has three extra large very bright bulbs, ruining the skyline from most angles now.

Don't the Liberty Place towers have blinking red lights (but not originally?)? Or at least not an extra bright and bold light, though?

The main structure is topped off, the lantern (that middle finger structure on the Western side) is still being constructed. It has about 100' to go.

You may not like them, but they are aircraft warning lights, a mandatory feature on all skyscrapers.

One of the few instances where I would prefer a parking lot lol. And some beautiful brownstones were demolished in the process. Hopefully the building is at least re-skinned in a decade or so, that will make it a lot less painful to look at. The Franklin Tower down the street is perfect example.

No, the lantern is what was topped off yesterday. The final beam (with Christmas tree) was put into place.

At least Liberty Place 2 has a red one. The IBX has them.

Being in the PHL airport flight path may be the reason for the lights.
