Does Philadelphia have suburbs that are in low crime areas, has one or two bedroom apartments for $700 dollars or less, and are within walking distance to train stations or bus stops?

Maybe Hatboro or Ambler, or Roslyn. Those three areas have Doylestown Line train stations.

I don't think so. He/She is probably looking to relocate (non-job related), possibly retired and scouting different areas. lots of train stations here in Delaware County - but that price for apartment rent would be almost impossible in a safe neighborhood.

BPP1999, Hatboro and Roslyn aren't on the Doylestown Line. They're on the Warminster Line.

Assuming you mean to Center City, New Jersey along the Lindenwold High Speed Line, is faster with better schedules than Philly burbs. Ask on the New Jersey Suburb forum on the top of this board.
