There's a guy on the 311 page who goes by the moniker 'PhillyChaz' who takes photos of and reports graffiti from 2nd and Lombard to as far as 18th and Washington.

Graffiti is one of those quality of life crimes that contribute to urban blight, so I'm pretty impressed by this guy's tenacity in wanting to keep the area nice.

Anyway, I noticed on these discussion forums and neighborhood social media pages, people complain, complain, complain and have a multitude of solutions, but few seem to actually do anything to help.

My question: Do you do anything to help make Philadelphia a better place to live? I'm not talking about a job you get paid to perform (cop, fireman, teacher, nurse, etc), I'm talking about doing something on your time. Anybody?

So what is it that you do to make Philadelphia a better place? You started the thread so it seems logical you would give your own examples first.

I didn't want to come off as a braggart ... I was hoping there were others on here like 'PhillyChaz' and myself.

BTW, I asked first and I know at least one poster who doesn't do a thing.

Right, so I'll repeat the question MB1562 asked. What is it exactly that you do to better the city? I'm honestly interested to hear the details as I love this city and would like to hear about altruistic opportunities.
