Again simple assault is a misdemeanor. Totally expungable over time anyway.

I'm not sure what the point of this comment is.

Also, Herrera is making peanuts, relatively speaking.

If you told me when the season started that around June 1, Harper would be hitting 0.240, McCutcheon 0.260, Franco 0.220, Herrera would be arrested and suspended, Nola ERA around 4.50, Pivetta sent to AAA, Dominguez struggling, Robertson hurt all year, etc., there is no way I'd believe this team would be 10 games above 0.500 and in first place right now. That sounds like a season going off the rails. I'm excited about this season. This is a first place team that's there despite underachieving so far. If they start actually playing up to their ability, the sky's the limit.

If they get a new manager, some bench help and a quality starting pitcher, they can win the Pennant.

As is, they won't unseat the reigning back to back N.L. Champion Dodgers.

That hurts, but if last night is any indication, Bruce is an adequate replacement, LOL. The issue now is that if Harper and Bruce are the corner outfielders, the lineup is fine, but they will need a really strong defensive CF, and I don't really trust Kingery (an infielder crammed into the outfield to get his bat in the lineup) to be that. I don't know if either Williams or that Haseley guy is that either, so they may need to make a move for a CF.

The bottom line is that McCutchen is a very good player and his loss hurts, but no one player is the whole team for a baseball team, so they can adjust and get past it.

Bad news. Very bad. He is a class act on a team needing that type of leadership. He sets an example for other players and performs every day. However, I think their pitching is the weakest link. Nola? What happened? Arrieta is inconsistent (but acts like he should be the Cy Young winner) as are al the other starters, and bullpen. Their weaknesses were exposed by the Dodgers and even the Padres.

Harper needs to earn his pay. I think he will, however.

Tough loss! I always liked Cutch. Agree with classy guy.

Brian McCann. After all these years he's back and he's killing us.

Braves now 2.5 ahead of our boys and trending up.

They need another starter, and a real closer. Also, Harper needs to hit more, especially HR's.
