Hello fellow city data users! Thanks in advance for any advice you could provide.

I have a potential job opportunity in a section of Philly i am unfamiliar with which is Robbins Ave near the Northeast Airport area. I believe this is considered Northeast Philly.

I believe working from home is possible a few days a week so i would be willing to commute up to 45 minutes or so by car. Really unsure right now budget wise because i would rent for a year or so before looking to buy but prefer very good public schools and safety of course in a family friendly suburb environment not urban.

Can anyone suggest some areas to consider? Assuming Bucks and even Montgomery County as far North as Doylestown are options?

Thanks,

I think it is hard to make a suggestion because we don't have an estimate of your budget, and many of the Montco burbs have good schools and are family friendly.

For example you'd be relatively close in Montco communities like Jenkintown or Ambler, both of which have great schools and family environments. Newtown in lower Bucks is another great choice. Your closest option, Bensalem, is not quite as strong, however it is known for its student diversity which is a plus given how homogeneous some of the suburban schools are.

If there are a few other qualifiers besides proximity to work and schools/family environment you can provide (such as budget, proximity to shopping, nature, etc.), there might be some more specific answers.

Good luck!

My sister worked in one of those schools in Bensalem that has 'student diversity.' Believe me, it isn't a 'plus.'
