Hello,

Looking for recommendations for a good gym in/around Delco. I'm currently a member of the Healthplex in Springfield, which served me well for many years, but has recently gone way downhill.

That said, I'm looking for a gym that offers everything that the Healthplex does (basketball, weight room, saunas etc.) but at a place that will actually maintain and update their facilities.

Lifetime in KOP would seem to be the most logical choice, but the location and monthly dues (~$140 a month on last check) aren't ideal.

TIA

The only one I can think of is the Haverford Area YMCA in Havertown. I don't belong there, but I know from neighbors that one con is that it gets crowded (as they closed down the Main Line Y in Ardmore once the one in Havertown opened, something they neglected to tell the township). But it offers a lot, including pools, basketball courts, and indoor running track, classes, weights, cardio equipment, etc. I don't know about the saunas.

The Rocky Run Y is excellent (I used to be a member).

Main Line Health Fitness Center in Concordville is very nice too.

Thanks for the suggestions! I had checked out both of those YMCAs before and they seemed great, my only concern was with them being a little overcrowded. I'll definitely have to revisit them though.

Rocky Run can get busy, I wish they were open later. I would check out the Main Line Healthy complex too.

Also, LA Fitness in Brookhaven is decent. Its not high-end, but it does have a pool, basketball and plenty of equipment), not sure about sauna or steam room though.
