You guys seeing this? Six cops shot around 3700 n. 15th street. My wife, who is in administration at Temple, is in lock-down at the TU Health Sciences Center. Apparently a drug deal that cops pursued. The suspect is barricaded in a house on 15th and Erie.

I heard about it while walking home from the office, and I’m on my way up there now. I want a ground-level visual of what’s going on. I’ll let y’all know if I see or hear anything.

You really shouldn't. According to the reports I watching now, this isn't over.

This all occured from a busted drug deal. The dealer isn't going down with out a fight. I would say drop a bomb on him, but reports are hes barred up next to a daycare that's in lockdown. Unbelievable evil.

At your own risk. You know what’s at stake. Probably won’t get close enough for anything juicy, at any rate.

This isn't going to end good. Two officers are pinned on the second floor with suspects handcuffed. The other criminal trash is shooting through the ceiling from the floor below.

Quote:
Two Narcotics Strike Force bicycle officers were pinned down on the second floor with two other people who were handcuffed, police said. They were not hurt but were at risk of getting shot because a suspect on the first floor was firing into the ceiling.

Initially, police said there was one shooter inside a house on the block still firing shots shortly before 5 p.m. Later, police said they believed there were two shooters inside.

I haven’t looked at this thread in over an hour and a half, but I did actually make it really close to the scene—I’m on 15th Street, just a few hundred feet south of Erie Avenue. As I’m typing this, I just heard another gunshot.

For the life of me, I can't imagine why you'd want to be there. But please be safe.

Who would have thought Philly would have had a bigger crime story than Chicago in 2019
