In any case, there are good places to eat around there.
Perhaps I ordered incorrectly but we didn't like any of our dishes except the bruschetta. We split the meatballs which we thought were very bland, the artichokes which we thought were overcooked and bland, a small short rib ravioli which would have been good except they added dill for some reason which completely overwhelmed the dish. We also split the rigatoni which supposedly is one of there most popular dishes. I was excited when I read the description because it comes in vodka souce, cherry peppers and pancetta. Pasta in vodka sauce with either panchetta or prosciutto is one of my favorite italian dishes. Here, however, they added smoked chicken. All I could taste was the smoky flavor. We couldn't even finish it. I suspect the chicken was not actually smoked but instead they were heavy handed with liquid smoke. On the positive side the wine and service were good; and I really liked the vibe and design of the interior.

The good reviews are what inspired us to give it a shot. I suspect the family name is adding an extra star/bell to those reviews. If I lived in QV or Bella Vista I would probably give it another shot but since I live in Mt. Airy I don't see myself trying it again.

I remember hearing from my parents about looking at a home in Queen Village when they moved to Philly in 1982---the neighborhood was not great then and the high rise projects nearby made matters worse. But like others have said it has been a great neighborhood for 20 years or so---the only reason it isn't recommended more is the high cost of homes/rent there. It really does function as an extension of Center City.
