Once the Schuylkill yards towers really get going Mantua is going to develop very fast. With an only 10 minute trolley ride to the new high rise office towers and architecturally beautiful homes that need some work Mantua is poised to take off. This really depends how fast the towers can get off the ground and unfortunately a lot of it seems like talk but that is just me being skeptical.

Mantua itself is a great area. I think it could become gentrified, except many local residents there don't want there community to change (understandably.) If gentrification did occur, the crime would just occur elsewhere. Some kind of long term community development is definitely needed to help this hidden gem of a community out.

Definitely not the worst for safety, but it's "questionability" to its safety indirectly contributes to getting your money's worth to live there too.
