I'm originally from Florida, I've lived here long enough now (18 years) to be a "native" I suppose. My fiance originally grew up in VA but moved to SC out of high school, lived there, went to college and continued to live there up until about 4 years ago. We are plotting our move back down that way at some point - really wishing it could be this year before winter but aren't holding our breaths. I'm curious, how many people are newly transplanted to this are from either SC, NC or VA? We'd love to get to know some of you if you and find out how you are adjusting, what you are doing, etc....

I'm a NC transplant who just moved to the area last summer, though my immediate previous home was in TN. I've really enjoyed it here, a different change of pace from the south for sure, but a change I needed. City living was an experience I needed.

I'm also a NC transplant, adjusting fine and liking it here, better than NC actually. However the adjusting is all on an individual basis. I know a fellow NC/TN transplant that wants to go back....asap....ha.

Where did you live in NC? Where in the Philly area did you move to? We are looking to move to NC and would love any info you could provide?
