Yes. I read it this morning.

The asymptomatics have probably been the biggest problem with spread the whole time.

Anyhow looks like going yellow is going to happen in the city tomorrow.

Not a bad idea. I'm not changing a thing, or very little, no matter whether we are yellow or green. Still wearing a mask. Still only riding transit as early as possible when there are likely to be less people.

I have not seen my 101 year old aunt and absolutely will not!

Isn't the key though being asymptomatic but not contagious? There's a window of contagion but who knows how this virus really works.

How many infected protesters are in contagion stage in Philly right now?

More demonstrations planned again today though.

Btw, Floyd didn't have a mask on during his encounter with Minneapolis police.
The protests are global. The pandemic is global.

Yes, some are going to get sick...globally.

The effing cop killers didn't have on masks either.

Floyd's funeral is next week. So we can expect continued protests until then with a chance of rioting, looting, burning, and vigilantism in the neighborhoods...oh, and continued Covid 19 infections.
Where I live most things were never boarded up and some still aren't. In fact an historic bar near me is re-painting their exterior as they seem to be readying a re-opening.

Are you remembering at all that the Revolutionary War was a huge ass protest? There's a reason the Founders made freedom of assembly part of the Bill of Rights.

Correct. Many businesses will not reopen. That was true back in April. Capitalism always culls various enterprises. The virus will accelerate the process.

Protests? Remember protests for Mumia? Those died out eventually. Those were much smaller, though.

IF that's true, it would be wrong to hope he spewed enough droplets for that cop to get sick, and spread it to his entire family, now wouldn't it?

As for Philly and corona....I'm like others who are not letting up on wearing a mask, gloves, sanitizer, etc. I'm acting as if it was four weeks ago when cases were escalating. I'm not ordering out yet, either. Let alone go back to a restaurant to dine in.

Word from Metrocorp HR yesterday:

We'll be working from home for the rest of the summer, at least through Labor Day.

We will be allowed to enter the office if we need to, but there will be no more than 10 people allowed inside the office at a time, we will have to wear masks inside, and there will be plenty of hand sanitizer stations.

In the meantime, Southeastern Pennsylvania has officially entered the yellow phase of reopening, which means we all no longer have to stay at home.

For those of us who can work at home, I just don’t see the point in going back to the office yet.

I am likely working from home for the remainder of 2020. I work in my company's Legal department and we've been pretty well able to work from home with few hiccups. Because there are other areas that are more "mission critical" to get back into the office, my employer is taking a phased approach. Phase 1 is expected to last from July 1 to September. My department is likely a phase 3 one, so not for awhile yet.

If anyone needs a good laugh or smile this weekend, Queeer Eye Philadelphia came out on Netflix today.

The filming crew did a fantastic job showcasing the city, and the opening with Elton John "Philadelphia Freedom" was so fun.

Also, some of their fav Philadelphia spots.

I know a number of people who love this show and were excited when it filmed here. Glad to see it is out now. Should be good publicity for the city.
