Why did you create a thread about it when there is already a thread devoted to local coronavirus issues?

I guess because it was such a minor and dumb report among all the other major things going on in regards to the coronavirus I felt the need to give it's own thread.

It's important because people want to feel normal. My mother was born in England and lived there during WWII. She said that she was never truly afraid because of her mom. "Don't be afraid of the bombers, luv, they're just trying to close the factories in the industrial area." Right.

A new normal may not be all that bad if it takes form in people spending more time with their families in simple ways and cooking. It's SUPER easy to make water ice at home and it's cheaper.

Because my family was poor wrt money, but never poor wrt morality or values or putting a very high premium on education, I grew up with homemade meals especially at dinner.

My maternal grandmother, a native of New Orleans, made most everything from scratch. Having that kind of food heritage meant a lot of amazing food most of the time particular on Sundays and holidays.
