Hi,

I'm planning to apply the University of Pennsylvania next year to do an MBA. I wanna know how good is the MBA program? How is the city in terms of cost of living compared to other cities in general?. How good are the job opportunities in the marketing/advertising industry? Any advice would be great.

Penn's Wharton School is rated consistently as one of the best - if not even #1 - business schools in the country. US News & World Report publishes an issue that compares the best MBA programs.

Compared to other larger Northeastern cities, Philly is less expensive than New York, Boston and Washington DC, perhaps on par with Baltimore and Providence, and more expensive than Pittsburgh and Hartford.

Philly has an overall diverse economy but I don't know if it's a hotbed for marketing/advertising. The only company I can think of offhand is Gyro Worldwide... but I'm sure that there are others.

Congratulations! This is a very prestigious degree.

For marketing/advertising, you will probably have to go to New York or maybe L.A.
