So I signed a commercial lease in August to Rent a unit for my business the possession date of the unit was for October 1st . It is now the 21st of October I have not received possession of the unit or the keys yet. I have contacted him multiple times asking when i can take possession of the unit because I had plans to be up and running by a certain time. The landlord did not notify me in writing or over the phone to tell me unit was not ready for date of possession. I had to contact him to ask about it ! I still have not got a solid answer as to when the unit will be ready i keep being told I dont know and maybe next week... it's been 3 weeks! At this point I've ordered equipment i am now storing in a storage unit i had to rent! We did not agree to a later date and im getting no answers as to when the unit will be available.
At this point i want to just walk away from this landlord and this lease and find a different space to rent im so frustrated and upset. I have already paid first and last.

What are my rights as a tenant? Can I walk away from the lease at this point without getting sued?
I have contacted a lawyer but im still waiting to hear back from them .

I did notice that he did not sign his section of lease i have asked multiple times for full copy of lease to be emailed to me with both parties signatures and he has not even done that! as of yet
And the date on it is wrong says September 1st and in the next clause says October 1st which is confusing and not clear. Would a judge side with me or him if it does go to court.

Any help would be appreciated this entire thing is making me sick
thanks
