No, we will just pay $12 for a dozen eggs or get poorer service when these companies reduce the number of workers.

What we really need are less service jobs and more solid paying jobs that generate wealth for our country. Unfortunately, our business leaders and politicians shipped all those jobs overseas and allowed those companies to sell their products back to American citizens with breaks on tariffs.

What are some goals you would like to see for Philadelphia and its Pennsylvania suburbs in realms of:

1) Transportation/Transit Investments
2) Economic Investments
3) Higher Education Opportunities
4) Marketing/Tourism Opportunities
5) Business Development
6) International and Domestic Connectivity
7) Pennsylvania Statewide Initiatives that can benefit the region
8) Anything else you can think of
It may take up to 5 years for things to return to some kind of new normal. Things aren't going to get back to normal in one year.

The chances of that happening anytime soon is nil with how brutally revenues have been crushed this year.

1) Transportation/Transit Investments
I would love to see an extension of the Broad St. Line to the Navy Yard and a BRT line from City Hall down the Parkway and continuing up through Fairmount, Brewerytown, The Zoo and then to Fairmount Park and The Mann.

2) Economic Investments
Successful change of state law to allow commercial properties to be taxed at higher rates than residential, allowing for the elimination or severe reduction of the Wage Tax. This is actually supported highly by the business community.

3) Higher Education Opportunities
A higher ed incubator consortium to fund and grant money for research and startup incubators. Where the likes of Penn, Drexel, Temple, Villanova join forces and share resources.

4) Marketing/Tourism Opportunities
Increase International marketing to encourage and increase the share of international tourists who visit the city.

5) Business Development
Set up a Business Development task force that works with international companies looking to set up NA HQ to set up shop here in Philadelphia.

6) International and Domestic Connectivity
Continue to work with American Airlines to continue to increase the Transatlantic Hub at Philadelphia INTL.

7) Pennsylvania Statewide Initiatives that can benefit the region
Partner with the City of Pittsburgh, Harrisburg and the Lehigh Valley to push for urban friendly state legislation.

8) Anything else you can think of
City Council Term Limits, to end the parochial fiefdom that is now city council and completely destroys efficient and innovative government.
