Does anyone know of a good place to compare Philadelphia Private School Tuitions? My daughter is not yet ready for kindergarten so I don't want to contact the schools directly yet. Also, any advice on quality of schools?

The Inquirer puts this out every year. Although, it looks like it's only for high schools. I'm not sure for gradeschools, that's harder to find.

By the way, I went to Norwood Fontbonne Academy in Chestnut Hill K-8, and Saint Basil Academy in Jenkintown for high school. I feel that I had a great education at both schools that prepared me for high school (NFA) and then college (SBA). St. Basil's also tends to be cheaper than other private girls' HS in the area.

Springside also has a good reputation (or, at least it did when I was in elementary and middle school).

What area of the city are you living in? Quaker schools are always excellent.

$13,000 a year is a low price for a K-12 private school????

And I thought that the $5,000 a year for Catholic high schools in NE PA was expensive!!

$13,000 is for a private school(religious and not and tuition can go a lot higher), there are a lot of parish schools that are probably around $3,000 a year that are excellent schools.

Norwood Fontbonne (small private Catholic-affiliated school preK-8) runs from $7,700-$9,525, depending on age (more expensive as you get older). I absolutely loved it there, and had a great education. It's not quite as inexpensive as parochial, but it's cheaper than some other private schools. It's located in Chestnut Hill (a very nice area in NW Philly).
