well, asided from the tropical weather, i like the overall look and feel of the city. we vacation there once a year (well south beach & bal harbour ). i've heard a few horror stories from people who have lived there though (job market, sketchy downtown, some of the people etc.. - although nothing i haven't witnessed here in Philly ) maybe its just me romantacizing it as a tropical paradise. and i love how the skyline is filling out these days..

and my life long love with the caribbean (without actually being in the caribbean).

Living in Philly has made me realize that I would rather live outside the city, but if I had the option, I would move to NYC in a heartbeat. I love NY and it will always be my number one. Nothing else compares, and no one can deny that.

I'd be fine staying in the Philly area, but I'm looking to get out for a little and maybe return later. Places that interest me:

Portland and 'burbs (Lake Oswego, West Linn, etc.)
Seattle and 'burbs (Bellevue, Mercer Island, Medina, Redmond, etc.)
Phoenix and 'burbs (Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Gilbert, etc.)
Denver & Colorado Springs and 'burbs (Centennial, Cherry Hills Village, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, etc.)
Asheville/Biltmore Forest, NC

I'm looking to work in Major League Baseball after I graduate from college, so I'll most definitely live somewhere that has a baseball team lol. North Carolina wouldn't work, and unless the Marlins move to PDX, Portland is out too. I'm getting intrigued about Tampa as well. I really have no idea at this point, so who knows?

I just left Philly after 30+ years to move to Houston for the better economy, better cost of living, and some sunshine! I'm lovin' it so far but I love and miss Philly too. Really I'm the kind of person that could be happy almost anywhere, make the best of any opportunity. Except Detroit...that's the only place I can think of that I find absolutely nothing redeeming about. Maybe Buffalo too. Yuck.

Really can't say where my #1 place in the world to live would be. Somewhere with a beach nearby, no doubt.

I wouldn't mind The Woodlands area--I really like Houston. I'm also dying to go to Austin and I've heard good things about the Plano area, although I've never been to Dallas. I like Texas, but I think it's too humid for me.

I had been sending out resumes recently to see what happened. The top 10 in this order:

1.Barcelona
2.San Francisco
3.Madrid
4.Melbourne
5.Chicago
6.LA
7.Toronto
8.London
9.Vancouver
10.Buenos Aires

A long list maybe but those are really the only places I would be eager to leave Philly for.
