Frame the question 'Which cities have the longest dynasty drought?' Philadelphia would be first since Houston and Phoenix never had one. Still not a good look either way.
There's no considering it - the A's (at one time) were a Philadelphia team. A lot of people wanted the Phillies to leave instead.

Dynasties are rare. I'm just happy I got to celebrate some championships.

BTW, I hope the Flyers and 76ers never win again.

Those Indians teams from the 1990's rank as some of the strongest teams to never go all the way. I hated seeing them lose to the Marlins in '97.

At least youse had Joe Charboneau for one season.

Still a long way to go ... but they do have a good shot now that Milwaukee is out.

They play indoor lacrosse. The current Wings never carried the old legacy, not even the old logo, which is a shame because the Wings of the 90's were the only Philly team that was consistently winning championships over the Phillies, & the Flyers.

TheJersey Shore BlueClaws (Phillies minor league affiliate) are the only team I can find so far that had a dynasty. 3 championships in 2006, 2006, 2009 and 2010. I’ll look more later. It’s a fun time waster.

Expand it to include college?
'Nova's women's cross country won 7 Division 1- championships between 1989-1998.
I mentioned the 70's Flyers coming close to being a dynasty, but Bernie Parent was injured and the Flyers lost to Montreal in 1976.

Nobody regards the minor leagues, and Lakewood, although the team may be a Phillies affiliate, is a part of the NYC CSA. Cross country isn't followed by a majority of sports fans.

That's the criteria that's used by a majority of sports pundits.

No matter. We might be the first generation since the Philadelphia Athletics to see a dynasty. The Birds look incredible, this Sixers team still has a shot at possibly winning three (long-shot, but doable), and the Phillies, on paper at least, are a strong team that could click in at any time - especially now that Harper is back. The Union will also probably be elite for years for to come - although I'm not sure if you're counting the secondary sports like soccer and lacrosse...

We'll see, but ultimately a fun time to be a Philly sports fan.

Don't get me started...

Senior Smoke had 2 outs 2 strikes in the 9th and gave it all away.

I still can't believe it.

Be nice to see these current squads win one first.

It's going to be tough because history is against the Birds - only three Super Bowl losers (1970 Cowboys, 1971 Dolphins, 2017 Patriots) have ever come back to win the SB the following season. At least we know they got a shot, though.

I don't think the Phillies are a very good team ... except for three hot weeks last October (which I'll always appreciate).
