I came to Philadelphia 4 years ago for residency. Now I'm done, and I'm leaving for the midwest, and I have to say that I'm somewhat depressed. I loved Philly. It's a great city, awesome restaurants, museums, kelly drive, rittenhouse sqaure park, bars, clubs, whatever you want, it has it. And the great thing is if you get bored, then go to nyc, or dc, or baltimore one weekend and hang out there. The girls here were the best, this place was like single guy heaven. Maybe they weren't quite as hot as the girls in Manhattan, but they have a lot less attitude, and are much more approachable. And they love to party. I also made some great friends out here, and I really want to come back here one day. Maybe it's not as friendly as the chicago or something, but I like how people just tell it like it is, no sugar coating. All in all, this is the best city I've ever lived in, I hope I make it back here one day. See ya!

Glad to hear you had a good experience while you were here, Chuck. Nice that you were able to see the good things in Philadelphia. You pointed out the best thing about the city: the people. Best of luck in your career.

When I read the title of the thread at first, I thought it might not have a happy ending so I'm glad to read such positive thoughts about the city as you leave for different pastures. Best of luck to you in the Midwest!
