Does anyone commute from the York, PA area to Philly for work? if so, what's the commute like.

It all depends upon your lifestyle. Do you have a family? If not, then this is perfectly plausible. Believe it or not, there are thousands who make the commute from Monroe County (Poconos) into Manhattan everyday for work, as they crave
both the superior NYC salaries and the relatively-affordable NEPA cost-of-living. Unfortunately, most who are taking the trek are dually-employed professional couples
with children, and their families' emotional states are largely suffering immensely as a direct result of their lack of interaction on weekdays, when parents can be gone from home from 5:30 AM-7:30 PM!
York wouldn't offer quite as long of a commute to Philadelphia as the Scranton area does to NYC, but if you have children, a spouse, and value your relationships with them, then by all means---DON'T DO IT!
There's more to life than trying to "cash in" on cheap housing, as many NY/NJ transplants to NEPA are starting to find out the hard way.

Being from the Poconos, i did not find my question wierd or insane at all since i knew alot of people commuting from there to NYC. I currently work in baltimore and live just south of York and saw a potential job outside of Philly. I found out that outside of Philly means Kennett Square. It's about the same commute as when i'm stuck in traffic 2-3 times a week coming down to MD.

York wouldn't offer quite as long of a commute to Philadelphia as the Scranton area does to NYC, but if you have children, a spouse, and value your relationships with them, then by all means---DON'T DO IT! 
There's more to life than trying to "cash in" on cheap housing, as many NY/NJ transplants to NEPA are starting to find out the hard way.
