I would imagine Delaware County would be considerably higher were it not for Chester.
No, Camden's, 80,000+ residents is just an extension of Philly, the other side of the River. Plus is it not representative of suburban NJ. It should be linked to Philly for income analysis. There are many lower income areas of NJ included as well.

You'd be wise to do so. PA has some very difficult times ahead.

Yes, the median age in PA is 40, the next 20 years is going to bring very difficult times in PA, worse than current conditions. And things are very tough in PA right now.

Request to shut this thread down, please. This SJ vs. PA suburbs debate is completely pointless and holds no factual or informative value for the board.

Typical Philly response...so if you don't agree with it it's not factual

That's not what I said. I welcome UNBIASED and hearty debate. However, this ridiculous South Jersey vs. PA suburbs debate has gone on before and it has lead to nowhere. MoorestownResident is obsessed with crowning South Jersey the economic capital of the metro area, no matter how much evidence is presented to contrary. Not to mention your blatant bias against the city. So, enlighten me sir, what is the point of this thread?

I tend to agree with Duderino, this issue has been thrashed around before and I don't think anyone has changed anyones mind. Shall I close or shall we agree to disagree?

I suggest you go back and look at the start of the thread. It wasn't me with the axe to grind. All I did was post the updated numbers that just came out.

But your updated numbers were some bizarro concoction made up by you to make SJ look better than it is. We get it, you have serious insecurity issues. Enough already.

You had Mercer in Philly metro. Its not.

You had Lancaster + Lehigh in Philly metro. They are not.

You had Camden not included in Camden County. It is.

Here are the correct median income numbers for 2007. Keep in mind that there are 2x as many people in the 4 suburban pa counties then there are in the 4 SJ counties.

Chester-$83,146
Montgomery-$74,000
Burlington-$73,566
Gloucester-$70,881
Bucks-$70,655
Delaware-$60,232(Chester brings it down )
New Castle-$59,600
Camden-$59,288
Salem-$54,992
