.. I understand the severity of the weather.

But .. I would imagine by now everyone has figured it is snowing and dangerous to move your car.
Normal folks must realize that the city and states plowing ability has some limits in capability.

The schools are closed many businesses are closed ..
How about regular programing or better yet ..
Some movies for the house bound with updates every 30 minutes.

I've been critical of this for a while. I wrote a poem about it which has been shared on here before. The key is to just tune them out and not pay any attention. They are annoying and contribute to the poor attitude and low morale of the region. They bring people down. You have to rise above the negativity and ignore all of them.

My opinion is that local broadcast media outlets don't want to be trumped by a competitor on a big story, so they all cover it ad nauseam, which in turn creates nausea for their dwindling viewers.

People are dumb so many people would try to get in their cars and go to the store at the last minute or maybe they have to get to work. I heard on the radio people are dialing 911 because their side streets aren't plowed or their driveways got plowed in.

I am board operating neo-con talk shows at the moment. I was sent home early from my primary job, and I came in here. When I go on the air again I will not overhype this weather. I will not use the term snowmageddon. I will say what needs to be said without any sky is falling nonsense.

I agree. I screwed up a move years ago, but next time I will never look back. The thought weighs heavy on my mind. Especially earlier this morning as I trudged through snow and avoided icy spots.

I live in the city and honestly the streets and sidewalks aren't that bad. I think what we got over this past weekend was worse than what we got starting on Tues night. The local media over-blew the entire thing and covered it way too much. Yet, the weather, sports, and crime seem to be the local news' favorite "subjects."
However I agree with the two previous posters...I'm tired of this ridiculous weather. I don't care if this is officially the snowiest winter on record and the chances of it happening again are slim, it doesn't mean I have to LIKE it!
