Ok All,

I am in a bit of a dilemma. I am 50, divorced, with grown children.

I currently live near Cherry Hill and am seriously thinking of moving to Pennsylvania. I love the landscape and the people and need a change; however I am not that great when it comes to change! I have never moved before. This home is too much for me, but I wanted to wait so that the kids were not too traumatized by too many changes. Four years later, they are educated and out on their own and not adverse to this decision. I am tired of the taxes in New Jersey, the bridge toll and commute. This is what happens when you turn fifty.

I am looking for new townhome construction by a train station. My sister lives in Lansdale, so I would like to be closer to her, however it needn't be in the same town. I like the idea of a smaller town.

I work at Temple so there is a train station there. It would make things so much easier. Something perhaps in the $250-300 th area?

I am indebted to everyone who takes the time to help, I really am. It's sometimes a tough world from the eyes of a overly sheltered, suburban housewife. Thanks!!

There is a new townhome community that will be built near the train station in Ambler, I believe it's called Station Square at Ambler, you can try googling it. They haven't been built yet so it might be a while, but it's a few stops from Lansdale and the R5 goes to Temple U. Ambler is not a bad little town, good movie theater, regular theater and a couple of good places to eat.

Solara be sure to check out Yardley Station, a tiny development of 31 three bedroom townhomes adjacent to the Yardley train station. You get to live in one of the region's truly beautiful small towns, but the walk to the train is two minutes if you are walking slow. The development is bordered by woods and a lake so you get a quiet pastoral setting (except for the occasional train!). Deer wander through our back yard frequently. There are two units for sale right now in the $369,000 - $399,000 range. I will be attending the homeowner's meeting tomorrow night and can also inquire if there are any units for rent at present. Let me know if you are interested.

Check out Jenkintown. It's a nice little town. The train station is a hub and you can take the R2 or R5 to Temple.

I would also suggest Doylestown as a recommendation for you.
