OK, let's vent. I can't believe Reid called the same play three times and still didn't score. What no bootleg? No QB sneak. Even a short pass would have been better.

It's not worth gettin worked up over. Where on the edge of depression and other downward spirals. A bunch of millionares in green uniforms should be the least of our concerns.

In the grand scheme of things, there are definitely more important things to be upset about these days. But in the spirit of good ol' WIP, what's a little kvetching amongst friends about your team... even if many of the players make more in a year than many of us will make in a lifetime?

How could once-reliable David Akers miss not one but two makeable field goals?

Why did DeSean Jackson cancel himself out by making one great catch then fumbling and bobbling most of the rest?

And finally...

Why oh why didn't Andy Reid run the QB sneak with McNabb off to the left instead of right up the middle with whomever? *sigh*

The "good" news is that the Eagles aren't getting blown out in the games that they've lost. But the NFC is going to be tight this year so we could have used a non-division win. Oh well... I'll look forward to wearing my Eagles colors next week here in VA after we redeem ourselves against the 'Skins!

Of course there are more important thing to think about right now, but what's wrong with a little diversion on a Sunday night?

Akers has been making FG's over 40 yards consistantly for a few years now. Reid knows this but still sent him out for a 47 and 50 yard tries.

Reid called a bad game and knows it.

50 yards is difficult and Akers is getting older. This should be his last season in Philadelphia. It is time for some new blood.
