Building a network in Media, PA (Dallas: home, schools, live in)

Hubby and I live in Dallas (long story how we ended up here!) and have a strong need to get back out east. Our family is in Baltimore. We like Baltimore but want to make our own HOME. For some reason Media resonated with us. It seems to have a more down to earth community feel and is relatively close to Baltimore.

BUT, both hubby and I work from home so if we move there, we will have literally no social connections. Are there parent groups available? Other ways to "connect"? We are willing to "put ourselves out there" but want some assurance we can network well and learn even the basics (great pediatricians, montessori schools, finding friends, etc.)

I welcome any of your thoughts. We want to make a move that can be a great success for our family. Thanks in advance!!!

Just search for Media, PA Mom's Groups and Media, PA Meetups. You will find plenty of groups to share an interest with.

Other towns in the area have Newcomers Groups but it doesn't appear that Media does...
