Coming from Philadelphia I'm getting a little angry at the media making us out to be idiots. Now I find an article attacking our news reporters.

Please, this happens in every city. Although I must admit that it feels good to see Alicia Lane get blasted.

I just read that article, Chris, and I'm still laughing. The writer does make it clear that that kind of childish behavior happens in every market. Maybe, instead of being jeolous of co-workers and trying to destroy their careers, they may just want to try to be better journalists and let the viewers decide.

That is hilarious. And it does happen in every market. Says so right in the lede, actually.

Obviously these people need to spend more time honing their craft and reporting/writing their stories. Idle hands are the devil's playthings, dontcha know.

I have always wondered if people who choose this career path were born as idiots or they became that way after they were employed for awhile. Which ever it is, the electronic news media seems to be dominated by airheads and dolts more than any other profession I can think of and I'm sure it isn't just cooincidence. I wonder who gets these people up in the morning and dress's them and helps them find their way to work?

I think, back in the John Facenda days, that people decided to become journalists because they liked reporting news and getting their hands dirty. Now, as the report states, most just want to be on TV and get the attention that it brings. However, the higher the profile the greater the chance that every thing you do ends up in the media, like the current situations involving the anchors on CBS3 & NBC10.

Reminds me of Anchorman and Bruce Almighty.
