Well, it looks like Rock Lobster has discontinued those salsa nights this year (which have been running at least since 1998/99). I'm crossing my fingers that they will bring back Sunday night salsa dancing if enough people ask about it, but it's no longer happening as of now.

I originally moved to Center City to have access to more things going on, but I'd be better off living somewhere else nearby and having a car, at least for Latin dance events.

Egypt has been reborn and is open (corner of Springgarden and Deleware Ave) and there is an underground...ooohh ahhhh.. club further up with minimal techno nights called Rizumu.... there is a fun nightlife in Philly. Start in old city and move out and you find your scene.

South Street has unfortunately turned into a corporate meat market...gross...
