I am going to give the worst driver title to New England but Philly can have the worst pedestrian title. I have never seen pedestrians who are as careless, wandering into traffic while talking on the phone, stepping off the curb to take out a lane of traffic in Philly's narrow streets and ignoring all traffic signals plus the jay walking. And don't get me started on Bikes. They need to be outlawed from city streets.

Philly drivers - awesome parallel parkers. However, your still overly aggressive inconsiderate drivers. Do you really need to go from zero to 60MPH then slam on your breaks in a distance of one city block? You realize you're not going to get there any faster by doing that right? And your just giving yourself a headache and sick from the aggressive stopping and going?

Philly suburban drivers - tunnel vision. Seriously people look around see who's there. AND STAY IN YOUR LANE AND GET OFF THE PHONE!

Jersey drivers - You know how properly maneuver a round-about ( or "circle"). Good for you. Now stop passing me on the right lane when the lane to my left is clear.

One giant complaint I have in this area is tailgating. I've never lived in a city that loved to tailgate so much. Forget about the safety concerns as it seems nobody cares. Tailgating causes traffic! Seriously people have you ever heard of traffic waves? Not only are you screwing yourself but your screwing those behind you. Check this video out if you haven't:

Breaking Up a Traffic Jam! - Video

By the way if you think you don't tailgate but you also don't let "*******s" in front of you and feel a need to close the gap between you and the car in front of you so no "cheater" can't squeeze in, you tailgate!!!!

Oh by the way can anybody in this city make a proper left-hand turn?

Sorry about the rant. I love Philly since moving here but this no matter how much Philly has become my home this topic always gets to me.

I just googled stu bykofsky and there really is such a person.... a columnist for the daily news. Like most people I don't read the daily news but it said he has won awards and is big in animal rights, civil rights and human rights. No I am not him.

you live in philly and have not heard of stu?

he's a grumpy old man who complains about everything, perhaps long ago he championed animal, civil, and human rights, today he mostly just champions the right to be a grouch.

He hates bikes and bicyclists. he wants them to banned from Philadelphia streets. He was a big opponent of all the bike lanes being put into philly.

Right on Red was started by Governor Shapp to get rid of slow moving elderly, as for finger gestures they are on the driving test in Philly
