I'd like to research housing options within 30-45 min. commute of the Vine St Expy area (is this even considered downtown?) Our price range is $200-300K and I have two little ones, with my 5 yr old starting kindergarten this fall so schools & a safe neighborhood are the priority. Any suggestions on where to start my search?
I'm not sure if that amount of $ will get us a house or a condo but I'm willing to consider both.
What else are you looking for in a place? Like, do you want to be in the city or in the suburbs? Is the commute time you are talking about by car or train? Do you want 3 bedrooms minimum? Are you looking for a yard if possible? Do you want to be in PA, NJ or doesn't matter?
Vine Street Expressway isn't really an area, but yes, you can consider that downtown.

We would consider either city or suburbs and we would like a 3 Bed/2 bath. The commute would be via car as my husband can't use the public transportation. I guess I never considered NJ...are there benefits to NJ over PA or is that a matter of personal preference? We are most suburbanites by nature so chances are the suburbs would be our first choice, but if the commute is horrible, then the city would be a definite possiblity.
Thank you.
