Hello everyone.
My finance and I are interested in finding a nice apartment walking distance from a SEPTA station. I am going to be a post doctoral fellow at Penn and he works in Spring House. I was hoping have about a 30 minute one way commute each. I think that puts us somewhere on the R1, R2, or R3 line. Any suggestions for towns to look at or even specific apartment complexes?

Thanks!

You have the R5 as well. Try looking in Elkins Park (19027), Jenkintown (19046) and Glenside (19038) to stay close to 30 minute train ride to Penn.

Wallingford/Swarthmore, Elwyn or Media along the R3...You could also check out Lansdowne but not sure which way the neighborhood is heading...Renaissance with still some problems to sort out I guess.

Going out the R3 to Delaware County would make it tough to get to Spring House in 30 minutes. I think you have to stay in Montco or Chestnut Hill (R7 or R8).
