Who are "they"?

I lived about two blocks from that address 20 years ago and had plenty of black neighbors.

Most likely the people who tell you that don't live there, and haven't in a very long time (if ever). Don't worry about it. The vast majority of racism against African Americans I encountered in Philly was further out in the suburbs.

It is a decent area. Alot of young professionals have moved into the neighborhood. It is close to Passyunk Ave. where there is shopping and restaurants. Neighbors don't have a problem with race , it's the riffraff of any color. You seem like youre a decent person so you should be fine.Best of luck.

Thanks. I know you are right juniperbleu. The people I do talk to say that. My aunt, my dad, and older co-workers. My aunt claims you have to be rich to live down there. And the Italians don't want you there and crap like that. Thanks.
