Hi all,

I'm planning on attending grad school at Villanova in the fall. My fiancée wants to work in the city and currently has a job lined up at West Independence Square. We are trying to find a place to live that would be a happy medium as far as commuting goes -- obviously I'll be burning the midnight oil some and am therefore not interested in an hour commute every day. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as housing? Thanks.

I suggest Ardmore, Wynnewood or Bryn Mawr or Narberth. They are all near the R5 SEPTA Regional Rail line. That line goes both to Villanova in one direction and Center City in the other. The rides would be approximately 30-40 minutes in length.

I appreciate the timely response. Can you speak to the relative safety of these areas?

Absolutely! I would say any town past Overbrook on the train line would be fine.
