Thanks, Keith. Right now we're in a "wait and see" mode. It looks like if a job location change will happen, it will be in the spring. This is great because it gives me more time to check out the different communities when I am up there visiting my folks. I'm going to check out Doylestown again, as well as Yardley and Newtown. Then I will also visit Hatboro and Jenkintown. I'm not a "mall" person so Willow Grove doesn't sound like a good fit for me. Being able to walk there doesn't intrigue me much. Thanks for your ideas.

There's a WalMart and Acme on Blair Mill Rd... technically in Horsham, I think, not Hataboro but depending exactly where you were living it might still be walkable. I lived in the Blair Mill Village apartments and Walmart and Acme were right across the street with all the shops on York Road being just a short walk down the road.

That Walmart closed when the new one opened a mile away. It's now just a hulking eyesore.
