My husband and I along with our 7 year old daughter are currently living in NE Phila ( Fox Chase area). We have our house on the market and would like to move to either Montgomery County or Bucks County. We want to find a great school district and somewhere with a not too horrendous commute. My husband works in Bristol and I work in Cherry Hill. Price range would be between $300k and $400k...preferably more towards the lower threes than the upper threes. We're looking for a single family home.

So far I've been focusing on Lower Moreland ( great schools and small class size) and parts of Abington ( east of 611...Rydal, Meadowbrook etc.). I'm not too familiar with any other school district regarding quality, although I've heard that Council Rock is good too. Upper Dublin has a good reputation as well, but I'm not sure how the commute to Cherry Hill would be. Does anyone have an opinion on other school districts, like Neshaminy or Upper Moreland? What about Bensalem? Nothing too far away like Central Bucks. Any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thank!!

I live in Upper Moreland. Moved here a little over a year ago. I love it. It has enough businesses so the taxes aren't ridiculous. My older son just finished Kinder and is moving onto 1st grade and I love the school and his old teacher. I wish she was moving onto 1st grade too. Our address is actually Huntingdon Valley and I'm right near Mason's Mill Park which is the best park in the area. I highly recommend looking around here.

I'd say of the places you're considering, Council Rock is the best school district. After that I would say Abington, Lower Moreland and Upper Moreland are all pretty similar. Neshaminy and Bensalem are not as good.

Go with Council Rock, Neshaminy or Pennsbury schools.. Not Bensalem. Council Rock is above the other two, but all 3 are very good honestly. Commute time from Newtown/yardley area to Cherry Hill? I do it a LOT, it's about 35 minutes in the morning.
