Exactly. I was talking about this the other day. Philly is very block by block you could be in a nice area and the next block is completely different

Corinthian and Parish is in Fairmount/Francisville and is not a bad area. 17th and Jefferson is a different neighborhood-it was a well known drug corner but even when that article on notorious drug corners was published 10 years ago it was not among "the most dangerous streets in Philly". Today it probably would not even be on that list of "drug corners" either. I went to school nearby at 17th and Girard around 2001-2005 and it's amazing how the area has changed.

The 47th and Chester area on a friday and saturday night is so quiet like it's a suburban area. And this was in the summer time which is why I was so shocked. I agree also once you go past 49th and chester headed toward 50th everything changes. That area the market is in on 54th and Chester is not too bad if you want to pick something up from the market.

It's been that way there for years. What's funny is that the current MOVE house is in the 4500 block of Kingsessing Ave.

Yes, MOVE, the notorious back-to-nature group. Google "MOVE 1978" and "MOVE 1985".

Are you saying it's a new generation of move?

Yes, afaik. What's left of them. They've been living off of Clark Park since 1990 or so.
