Okay so I'm looking at renting a house in northeast philly and I've found most of them mainly in the Mayfair section or what I'm assuming is the Mayfair section. So I was wondering 3 girls in their mid 20's .. where should I avoid all together? How about these areas? ...

2000 block of Hellerman St
Carver St at Torresdale Ave
Paul Street at Church Street

Any of these areas good? bad? what are they like? ANY help would be beyond wonderful at this point in time.

Thanks so much

The Hellerman house could be a bit of a nightmare being as close to the Roosevelt Boulevard corridor which has issues.

The Paul and Church house is near the El station which in any other city would be a good thing. The areas near the El here are rundown and sketchy at best.

The clear winner looks to be the Carver and Torresdale house. It's definitely a quieter area. It's known as the Tacony neighborhood, not Mayfair.

Paul and Church is Frankford and I work a couple blocks from there. You don't want to live there. Run away from that area.

2000 block of hellerman isn't mayfair, more like roosevelt area, that's what we called it growing up anyway. Not really that great of a neighborhood anymore I would Avoid it.

Paul and Church is frankford I grew up in frankford,it's the hood don't even concider it.

Tacony is deceving there's a few nice blocks but overall not really nice,I lived in tacony for about 4-5 years some parts are as nasty as frankford.I would avoid tacony as well.

If you like mayfair look at the streets between cottman and rahwn sts. starting at the 3500 blocks and working your way down.there's a couple streets that are so so but alot of really nice ones too, especially around the lincoln/pennypack area.
