How horrible? I'm leaning to Yardley, my wife would rather be in Media/Springfield/or even Abington. Could someone compare the rush hour drive to South Philly Columbus Blvd from those locations? Thanks!

Rush hour from Yardley would probably be an hour to an hour and fifteen min. I used to commute from Franklin Mills area, which is the Woodhaven Exit to South Philly and it was 45 min to up to an hour on a bad day.

Abington, it would really depend on how you went....but closer to 45 min.

I don't know about Media/Springfield.

If your destination are on or close to columbus blvd Abington would not be my choice to live in. It puts you on 611. Basically the slow boat to china.

2-3 times a year you will experience a complete I95 debacle. ie- EVERYBODY must get off at Cottman ave due to accident.
Normal rush hour - 1 to 1.5 hours.
Slightly off rush hour - 45min to an hour
off peak - 40 - 45 minutes at worst.

If your on Columbus south of Penns landing than looking at swarthmore area would make more sense so you can approach philly from the south.

I do Yardley to S Phila multiple times a week on I-95 and most days it's about 45 minutes.
