Please advise.

One spouse working in NE Philly (Roosevelt & Levick st) and one in Moorsetown, NJ. What you guys think is a better commute ?

1) Staying in Bensalem, PA (near Racetrack). So, one person can come down through I-95. And another one take Burlington Bridge and then, I-295 to Moorsetown.

2) Or staying in Maple shade, NJ area and taking route 73/Tacony Palmyra bridge for Philly.

We are from southeast and have no idea about Philly traffic and area.

I'm familiar with approach #2. From NJ, one can take 73N to Betsy Ross Br and get into NE Philly I-95 quite easily. Maple Shade, or Mt.Laurel by would be ideal.

If you are renting an apartment - The Fox Meadows Apartments are on 73 in Maple Shade. It's nice that it's north of the Route 38/I-295/Turnpike intersections (so if you're going into NE Philly, you won't hit that traffic daily), but one is still very close to it, and teh Moorestown Mall.

If you're going for a house, I'd suggest Mt.Laurel by I-295 or Church Rd, but Maple Shade is right there too. Evesham can get a bit far with the traffic but still doable.

Maple shade is not a bad choice for either commute. Just stay on the other side toward North of rt38 if you are looking at rt73. Anywhere South on Rt73 (near NJ Turnpike and 295), you are asking for traffic congestions.

Not sure about the recommendations on Fox Meadows (ghetto). I have a friend that rented there before and would advise against renting there.

With the exception of the occasional Tacony bridge going up, traffic isn't bad heading over the bridge to Levicks and Rt1. I would not take the Betsy Ross route. No need to get on I95.

Mt Laurel, Maple Shade, Moorestown are very convenient to major roadway.

I've done both and I think either commute is about equal to the other honestly. I would also advise against renting in Fox Meadows - lots of crime. I personally recommend renting private homes as opposed to apartment complexes - most people don't realize the abundance of private homes available for the same price as some apartment complexes.
