I don't know any specific neighborhoods but I drive through there all the time. I think cost of renting is very affordable. The area is hit or miss. I have never seen any problems on campus but if you get a couple blocks away the area is a warzone.

I actually like the campus. I am going to the Temple vs Villanova game this weekend.

How "near" do you want to be? If you are somewhere on the Broad St. subway route would that be enough? Or are you looking for walking distance from campus?

As close to Temple as possible, however, taking the subway on the Broad St rt is ok, too.

Look in center city - Washington Square West or just south of center city Bella Vista or Passyunk Square. All are close to the subway and good areas.

There is an apartment at the corner of Broad and Cecil B. Moore over one fo the stores on Cecil B. Moore. It is right across from campus and around the corner from the Liacouras center. I think it is a good neighborhood. That is where I parked when I went to the Liacouras center box office for tickets to the Nova game. I thinkthe building is an old brownstone or maybe brick but it looked good from the outside. I don't know about the inside though.

I know exactly where that is. I will have them check it out. Do you live around there?

No, I don't live there. I parked near there when I went to the Liacouras Center. It seemed ok. I think it gets worse the further you are from campus though.
