Well I am newly divorced and moving back either toward or into the city, where can I meet/mingle with other professionals? Also is there recommended area? I would hope some sense of vibrancy with similar aged and responsible individuals

Just curious on what some thoughts might be

Thanks!

In the city: Art Museum, Rittenhouse Square, Fitler Square, Chestnut Hill

Outside the city: Wayne, Ardmore, Doylestown, Media.

I don't profess to have the most complete or accurate list so I'd be interested in others' impressions.

I'll second "art museum area" which includes fairmount and spring garden...places like london, rembrandt's, the art museum's friday night shin digs...also center city west of broad at certain places...parc, friday, sat, sunday...

Thanks for the info, and joining intramural sports or other types of groups is a great suggestion, so anyone with specific suggestions there would be very welcome.

Also, I should state, though meeting others of the opposite sex would be great but also finding new friends with would be helpful, sorry if this takes this message board off topic. I am also interested to hear of any others in a similar boat and experiences on where they may have moved or reside.

Thansk again!

Try joining groups on Meetup.com. The groups are listed by region and it's a nice way to meet people in your area with similar interests.

Some suggestions ...

Try to find some time to volunteer ..
Take some classes .. in a series or individual ..
Join a Gym or take yoga/pilates/dance ..
Any interest in music .. ?

Try to think of things you have a real passion toward.
You will most likely find folks with similar interest ..

Buck up .. go alone and remember ii if it is something you really care for ..
You will be happy and smiling and enthusiastic .. making you much more inviting to engage ..
