We're relocating to PA. My husband will be working in Audobon, but we'd really like to be in the Central Bucks SD. Are there any areas that are within a half hour commute of Audobon? Warrington seems doable, but if possible I'd like to be even closer. Thanks!

I grew up in Doylestown and was educated in the Central Bucks School District. Kutz/Lenape/CBEast to be exact. It was a fine education. But to make this trek everyday just to be in this district is madness. There are plenty of other districts that would do just fine. You will NEVER get from anywhere in the CB district to Oaks/Audobon in 30 min. 50mins maybe.

Really? Google maps has the commute from Warrington at about 30 minutes. I suppose that's without traffic. 5o minutes is way too far of a commute. Thanks for the advice, it's very difficult to decide the best location while living so far away.

If you weren't traveling during the rush hours you'd probably be at about 30 min. Have you looked at any of the districts closer to Audobon? The Philadelphia suburbs are loaded with good school districts.

We're looking at other options. Central Bucks is in a great location for us as far as family and friends and SD. But, as you mentioned, there are lots of other good options. We're looking into Lansdale. Do you know anythign about the schools there?

North Penn SD. I don't know much about quality. I do know the high school has a huuuuuge number of students. Lansdale and environs is very.....meh. I'm probably not the best to judge areas b/c I am pretty city-centric and not particularly objective (despite growing up in the burbs). I like many inner-ring suburbs (Abington, jenkintown, Havertown, etc) but move out from there and I just don't get it. But I digress.

I can also confirm (sadly) that Doylestown to Audobon will be in the 50+ minute range. That rush hour congestion just really "slows things down" getting "out of town".

Route 611 and 263 as well as 202 and various other roads move "reasonably well" but with the lights etc, it just seems to take forever. (Even in non-rush hours).

I can't comment on other school systems (I've lived in Council Rock, Pennsbury and currently in Central Bucks districts) but have also heard good things about North Penn (As mentioned - big).

Good luck with the move.
