I am looking for a bus or train that would take me from Philadelphia to Harleysville, PA for a total of 4 months. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

I believe you would have to take the regional rail line to lansdale and bus from there.

I think that could prove to be diffiicult. I tried using SEPTA's trip planning feature SEPTA | System Map , using the Lansdale train station as a starting point. When I put in the few options for Harleysville that were suggested, I was not able to find a schedule. Seems like the closest you would get is Telford via the #132 bus.

Hi, does anyone have commuting tips from Harleysville area to Philly? I assume Lansdale to Center City is the best option but does the area around the 476 interchange or North Penn High School get heavy traffic in the AM? Might the Fortuna station be a better option?

Thanks!

When my uncle lived in Harleysville, he took the North Wales station. Sumneytown Pike is about 15-20 minutes.

Lansdale's a good option. Just skip Sumneytown Pike and avoid the whole interchange. There are many back road options to explore. Allentown Road (and other parallel streets) is a good choice.

Up until the early 1980's, you could ride a train from Center City all the way to Hatfield/Soudertown/Sellersville/Telford/Perkasie, and further north. I know this does not help you but I mention it here because there are people who live in those areas that are unaware that passenger trains used to run all the way up there. Isn't it a pain to make certain commutes with no train service?
