Haddonfield is expensive and has really high taxes. It is a really nice town though.

I second Media, also Springfield, Drexel Hill, maybe Upper Darby. I used to live in Morton, a lovely small suburb with only about 1500 people. It was right next to Springfield but all the Morton kids went to Springfield High. Media is a nice friendly town, I loved going there.

I miss Delco

I third Media, and you can find a twin, if you're patient and not too picky, for under $250k. It's a great town, it's centrally located, it's very walk able, and the people are friendly enough. If you're younger and don't mind living further from the city, West Chester is a very nice suburb as well. There's more to do, it's bigger, offers more stores, etc., but there is no regional rail, and the college kids can be annoying at times.
