On the north side of I-76, in Montgomery County, between the Gulph Mills entrance ramp, and for app. 3/4 of a mile west bound, they are clearing out trees and shrubs immediately up against the edge of the roadway shoulder, and have demolished several structures (some residences, and one or two smaller commercial structures). Approximately here.

The strip of land they are clearing between I-76 and S. Gulph Road seems to be too narrow to support add'l commercial businesses or offices.

I'm curious what they are doing? A new entrance ramp, widening I-76 to three or four lanes?

My understanding is that it is an off ramp to Henderson Rd. May be an on ramp too. Makes little sense to me. What is on Henderson?

Nothing notable is on Henderson Rd., but it is a feeder road to DeKalb Pike on the eastern side of the KOP Mall area.

I heard there has been a lot of sink hole issues in the area, which may have something to do with it.
