Daycare in Newtown, Yardley or Langhorne, Please (credit, day care)

Hi there, I am moving to Langhorne and will be working in Newtown, I need day care for my 2 kids.

I have found daycare really expensive and they don't even provide lunch!

I have checked out Kindercare and the Magic cottage, and am not happy with those 2.

Any other suggestions that you would recommend? Also, do daycares typically not provide food? I am really surprised given the cost is the same as in NYC for daycare.

Some church programs do provide lunch; the big chains generally do not.

Check out naeyc.org and search for accredited programs - this will narrow your list down and give you daycares that have good programs educationally as well as safety and hygiene wise. If you can't find anything you can afford, the next site to check is pakeys.org. Choose a school that is 3 stars or higher. These are not rigorously vetted like NAEYC accredited schools but should also be pretty good.

Of course you have to personally check out all schools to see how they operate etc. because accredited does not mean perfect or even a good fit for you and your family.
