I know it depends on where you live in the city just curious where it may be most feasable to only walk/bike to everything.

I am a 27 year old, looking for an area where there is music, nightlife, art, farmers market/co-op, culture, cheap rent (comming from Long Island, New York its all cheap!) looking to maybe share a house for around $400(everything) a month. Just not sure where to start looking.

Various neighborhoods of South Philly fit the bill perfectly. Basically Philadelphia was made to live in without a car so you shouldn't have a problem with that. Transit is very good and the city is fairly bike friendly too (its pretty flat). Try looking around the neighborhoods immediately south of South St. Those will probably be your best bet and contain all the things you mentioned in close proximity to each other.

Fairly easily if both spend quality time in Center City and many surrounding neighborhoods including those previously suggested.

Or just see post #2.

I second Fishtown, I've been living carless here for 6 years now. Living cheaply and living well as a result.

In center city - walking or cabs. If the distance is far then PhillyCarShare | Philadelphia's local nonprofit car sharing solution or Car Sharing, an alternative to car rental and car ownership – Zipcar.
