Hey all.

I work in Chadds Ford and am looking for a 2-bedroom apartment that's within reasonable driving distance from work.

However, I'm not very familiar with the area, and I don't know where the best places are around Chadds Ford to find lower rents (without much crime).

I work literally minutes away from the Delaware border, and I've wondered if it wouldn't be cheaper to live in Delaware and work in PA?

I've never had a job where I worked in one state and lived in another, and I have no idea how that works tax-wise, etc, and if it would be to my benefit or not.

Lifestyle/etc wise, we're not looking for anything special.

I'd like to say what we have to spend, but that figure's a little soft right now.

In short, we're just looking for the cheapest rent (or cost of living overall if living in Delaware and working in PA would be the way to go) within reasonable distance of Chadds Ford that isn't crime-ridden.

And if you have an idea of what the average rent might be for a 2-bedroom in a given lower-rent area, that would be awesome.

Thanks a lot in advance. Any help would be really appreciated.

Meetinghouse Apartments Boothwyn, PA are across the street from Delaware off Naamans Rd. That is probably the cheapest in that area - I had friends who lived there and they were both cheap and thorough.

Good Luck!
