Does anyone know if there is a paper shredding company in the Philadelphia area (mainly Bucks Co. vicinity) that I can take large amounts of papers I need to have shredded? There's way too much to put in a home shredder.

Hey Everyone,

Just a thought, you ever considered just using a paper shredding company? You can mostly shred your yearly stuff for less than $40. That means no messy paper recycling, no noise, no removing paperclips/staples, no hours wasted shredding documents. What takes 8 hours with a 5 page shredder takes 1 min for a shredding. Most people don't consider the cost of your time when you are shredding. On top of that you are supporting a local company, not a factory overseas and most are bonded so there is added insurance. Check out our document destruction company at Calgary Paper Shredding & Mobile Shredding | Best Shredding We are located in Calgary Alberta but I'm sure you can find something local. Our name is Best Shredding.

Darn. I just saw the post and it's 3 months old! I live in Bucks and work just over the river in NJ, and we have a group of developmentally disabled people who do shredding as part of their vocational skills-building.

They have groups and supportive & educational services when there is no work, but when there is a shredding job, they get paid (by my company, which charges the customer a fee for the shredding service).

These are the BEST folks to do shredding! They're dedicated, hard-working, and in case there are any privacy issues with the materials being shredded, most of them are unable to read. Yes, this is actually a job where not being able to read is an asset!

In case you still have the stuff to be shredded, PM me.

Edit: I'm reluctant to even post these, the previous post is clearly the way to go.

I just PM'd you. I'm checking with the vocational program coordinator to see if they are able to take on a new shredding job.
