I go to Los Algadones, right across the border from Yuma. Largest concentration of dentists in the world from what I've read, many/most are amercian trained and the dentist I use lives in the U.S. and commutes daily. Most offices are very clean and modern and the prices are FANTASTIC compared to the U.S. Safety is not an issue as they have their own tourist police force that makes SURE nothing untoward happens (why kill the golden goose?) and if you go you'll notice several RV parks close to the border due to the fact that probably 90% of full timers use this area for dentistry/vision/prescription services. An example, root canal w/post $2k or more in the states, $600.00 in Algadones. X-ray $80 or more in the U.S., $10 in Algadones.
I was nervous my first time but after seeing it and sitting in a dentists chair I've got no worries anymore not to mention more $$$ to spend on other things.

Good question. My co-pay on crowns is the highest I've ever paid here in Arizona compared to 2 other states, and my dentist charges an average amount for her crowns. She doesn't do implants, but she's the best dentist I've ever been to.
The last dentist I saw in Scottsdale charged me 800.00 to fill 2 average sized cavities. I ended up paying I think 600.00 for my share. Needless to say, that was it for him.
